Gelsomino Bath & Shower Gel, carrying a composition rooted in the Jasmine of the Grand Duke, gifted to Cosimo III de' Medici in 1688. Formulated with plant-based surfactants. Scented with jasmine sambac, pink pepper and cedarwood. Floral and spiced.

Description

Originally from Goa, the Jasmine of the Grand Duke was gifted by King Peter II of Portugal to Cosimo III de' Medici in 1688. Cosimo had a dedicated greenhouse built for the plant at Villa di Castello, known as the Stufa dei Mugherini, only accessible to his personal botanists. Formulated with plant-based surfactants, it gently cleanses while protecting the skin's natural hydrolipidic film. From I Giardini Medicei. Pairs with the Gelsomino Fluid Body Cream to prolong the fragrance on the skin.

How to use

Apply directly to the body or a sponge. Press the lid gently to dispense without unscrewing. Massage in circular movements for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Complete the routine with Gelsomino Fluid Body Cream.

Thomas V. ★★★★★

The jasmine here isn’t the usual cheap perfume blast—it’s deeper and almost creamy, thanks to that Grand Duke heritage. The gel itself lathers up nicely without leaving my skin squeaky or dry.

Andrew H. ★★★★★

I’ve been using it every morning and the jasmine scent is so true to the flower, not synthetic at all. Knowing it’s based on plant-based surfactants makes the rich lather feel even better on my skin.

Claire B. ★★★★★

The lather is incredibly creamy for a plant-based formula, and a little goes a long way in the shower. I keep catching whiffs of that elegant jasmine on my skin hours later, which makes the whole routine feel like a mini escape.
