Melograno Glass Candle, named after the pomegranate documented in Mediterranean botanical traditions since antiquity. Scented with bergamot, bitter orange, fresh spices, pomegranate accord, rose and ylang-ylang. Smooth and floral.

Description

The pomegranate's seeded structure and persistent crown have made it a symbol of vitality and botanical knowledge across documented traditions. The candle's packaging draws on motifs from the frescoes and stuccoes of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. This glass candle carries the Melograno accord: bergamot, bitter orange, spices, pomegranate accord, rose, oakmoss, labdanum and patchouli. From the Firenze 1221 collection. Ø 8,4 cm, 7,5 x H 10 cm

How to use

Place on a heat-resistant surface before lighting. On first use, allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface. Trim the wick to 3-5 mm before each use and keep it centred. Do not burn for more than three hours at a time. Extinguish with a candle snuffer. Never leave unattended, and do not move while lit or while the wax remains liquid.

Penelope ★★★★★

The pomegranate note is surprisingly true to the fruit—not syrupy, just tart and warm underneath the rose. Burns evenly, and I’ve been lighting it every evening just to catch that spicy opening again.

Thomas ★★★★★

The bergamot and bitter orange hit first, but the pomegranate accord settles in so warmly that I keep catching myself sniffing the air instead of working. The burn has been even and steady over three evenings, and the glass feels like it could live on a shelf long after the wax is gone.

Kevin ★★★★★

The glass jar feels substantial and looks lovely on my shelf, and the pomegranate accord really comes through once it melts. I’ve burned it for three evenings now and the scent stays balanced, not too sweet, with that rose softening the spices.
