Bizzarria Eau de Parfum is named after a botanical curiosity first documented near Florence in 1644. Timur pepper and neroli at the opening, orange blossom absolute, ginger, and davana at the heart. Cedarwood and musk at the base.

Description

The Bizzarria is a botanical curiosity capable of bearing lemon, etrog and bitter orange on a single tree. After disappearing from cultivation, it was rediscovered in the 1970s in the gardens at the Villa Medicea di Castello. The Eau de Parfum takes this botanical singularity as its structural anchor: hesperidic and spiced at the opening, resinous and woody at the base. From I Giardini Medicei.

The bergamot and neroli are sharp and clean at first, but then the ginger and davana warm it up into something really intriguing. I sprayed it on at noon and could still catch the orange blossom on my scarf late that evening. This one feels like a proper botanical oddity, in the best way.

The opening hit is exactly what I hoped for—that timur pepper gives it a sharp, almost electric bite before the neroli smooths everything out. I sprayed it on at noon and by late evening the orange blossom and ginger were still lingering on my collar, warm and a little mysterious. It’s the kind of s
