Description

In 1688, Cosimo III de' Medici received a rare variety of jasmine from Goa as a gift from King Peter II of Portugal. The plant was tended exclusively by his personal botanists and became known as the Jasmine of the Grand Duke. The Eau de Parfum takes this jasmine as its compositional centre: floral and spiced at the opening, with a woody base. From I Giardini Medicei.

Lily ★★★★★

Sprayed this on at 8am and by evening the jasmine sambac was still clinging to my scarf, soft and clean rather than powdery. The tangerine gives it a bright start but that rare jasmine is the real star here. It’s my new signature for warm days, no question.

Julian O. ★★★★★

The opening citrus and pink pepper fades fast, but that’s fine because the jasmine sambac underneath is creamy and almost heady, not powdery at all. I keep catching whiffs on my scarf two days later, which never happens with my other perfumes.

Emma G. ★★★★★

The jasmine sambac is so lush and true to the flower, not synthetic at all. The opening hits with a bright tangerine zing before melting into that warm, creamy bloom, and it’s lasted me a full workday without fading.
