Category: Eau de Parfum

L'Iris Eau de Parfum, named after the emblem of Florence since 1266. Galbanum, timur pepper and neroli at the opening. Geranium, magnolia champaca and jasmine sambac at the heart. Iris fiorentina, musk and ambergris at the base. Green and powdery.

Description

Known in Italian as giaggiolo, the iris plant's fragrance comes not from its petals but from its rhizome, an underground stem that yields orris after years of drying and ageing. One of the rarest materials in perfumery, it has been cultivated on the Florentine hills since the Middle Ages. It anchors the base of L'Iris alongside musk and ambergris. From I Giardini Medicei.

Benjamin O. ★★★★★

The opening burst of neroli fades into something creamier than I expected, and that iris fiorentina keeps lingering on my scarf for two days. The pepper gives it just enough bite to feel modern, not like a dusty floral.

George ★★★★★

The iris here is no shy wallflower—it’s rich and powdery, with that Florentine touch coming through even after a long day. I sprayed it on my scarf and could still catch the geranium and jasmine sambac hours later, which is exactly why it’s earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

Thomas V. ★★★★★

The opening burst of galbanum and timur pepper is sharp and green, but it settles into a creamy iris fiorentina that lasts on my skin for a full workday. The jasmine sambac adds just enough sweetness without going powdery.
